Frequently Asked Questions
- Is MFL Fantasy Football free to play?
- Yes. MFL Fantasy is completely free. There are no subscriptions, no premium tiers, no pay-to-win features. The app runs on display ads to cover hosting costs. Every feature, including the full MFL Stats Hub, CPU AI opponents, and private leagues, is available to all users at no cost.
- Do I need to play Madden NFL to use this?
- Not at all. You just need to be a fan of the MFL universe — the custom Madden league that this app is built around. You do not need to own Madden, a console, or any technical knowledge. Just sign up, draft, and play fantasy as you would any other league.
- How often do stats update?
- Stats are imported after every MFL game week, usually once per real-world week. When the league commissioner runs an import, every fantasy league in the app updates simultaneously — scores move, standings shift, and your players season totals grow.
- What makes MFL Fantasy different from regular fantasy football?
- Three things: the player pool is the MFL universe, not the real NFL, so every week brings new storylines and breakout players; scoring reflects actual in-game performance from the MFL, not projections; the app includes a full MFL Stats Hub for scouting across all 32 teams.
- Can I create my own private league?
- Yes. Once you sign up, you can create a league for friends, family, coworkers, or the broader MFL community. You will be the commissioner with full control over settings: league size (4, 6, 8, 10, or 12 teams), roster format, draft date, scoring tweaks, and waiver rules. You can also fill empty spots with CPU-controlled teams.
- What are CPU teams and how do they work?
- CPU teams are AI-controlled fantasy managers. They draft their own rosters, claim free agents, propose and accept trades, set their weekly lineups intelligently, and will even respond to your direct messages to negotiate deals. The trade AI evaluates roster fit, player value, and team needs.
- What is the MFL Stats Hub?
- The Stats Hub is a scouting tool covering all 32 MFL teams. You can browse team rosters, compare players by position, view defensive breakdowns, check real Madden ratings, see contract details, read news events, and explore game recaps. Use it to scout waiver wire pickups, evaluate trade targets, and make smarter lineup decisions.
- How do playoffs work?
- Each league runs a 3-week playoff from Weeks 15 to 17 of the MFL season. The top seeds earn first-round byes, and the highest seed left in the final week plays for the championship. Playoff scoring uses the same real-stat-driven system as the regular season.
- What happens when the MFL season ends?
- When the MFL season ends, your league archives its final standings, champions, and full stat history. The next MFL season starts fresh with new drafts, new rosters, and new storylines — but you keep your account, your history, and your place in any leagues you rejoined.
- Is my data safe?
- Yes. MFL Fantasy uses Supabase (hosted on AWS) with HTTPS encryption for all data transfer. We never sell your personal data, we do not share it with marketers, and we collect only what is needed to run your account and leagues.
